DJC.4 is a professional, USB powered, DJ MIDI Controller with built-in audio interface.
It offers a huge ammount of features that you'll find only in more expensive controllers like 4-decks, replaceable crossfader, audio inputs and it is the cheaper all-in-one Dj controller that supports DVS. It comes with Virtual DJ but a Traktor mapping is also available, and as long you can do a little hack you can use it with DVS in Traktor as well!!
It is the third and the last Dj controller I've bought so far and it is simply amazing!!
It is well built with quite heavy metal construction, the size is pretty good and it fits nicely in the Magma CTRL Case L, so you can carry it around.
Remember that I said I don't like rubber buttons?? Now, this one is different!! It has great rubber transport buttons with a nice click feeling when you press them. I just love it!! It also offers amazing jog wheels with touch sensitivity controls on the front.
In the mixer section there are 2 channel faders, 3 band eq and gain knobs, with nice rubbered caps and kill function, and double filter/key change functions for the bass and mid knobs.
The crossfader is replaceable (same as pioneer spare part(??)) with curve control knob on the front. Unfortunately it doesn't support innofader and the oem fader (as well as the pioneer) have a little gap in the end. Also in the middle there are the master VU meters, wich are allways a nice addition for visual feedback.
With DJC.4 you can control 4 total decks (2 decks at a time). The lay out is really crowded!!
There is 1 fx unit per deck with fx control over the volume faders (dry wet),
plastic loop, hot cues and sampler buttons (they need a little care pushing or you will destroy the buttons in the board!) There is also a 4 deck Virtual DJ skin for DJC.4 wich is really nice and mirrors the layout of the controller on screen!!
My favourite feature is the loop lenght rotary encoders with button function (which I really always like to map in other controllers), good size pitch faders and pitch range/bend buttons.
In the front there are double headphone outputs 1/4" jack and 3.5mm mini jack, the cue volume and mix control knobs and a mic input (channel 2 selectale) with level control as well.
In the back there are 2 mic/line inputs (pc/through selectable) and 1 aux input (channel 1 selectable). The controller offers balanced (TRS) and unbalanced (rca) master outputs, power switch and optional 6v 1.5A power suply, wich I've never need to use even it has got tons of ligths!!
Absolutelly!! If you want an all around DJ MIDI Controller with 2 in 2 out channel audio interface and you don't really care about performance pads, that the newest controllers have, it is the ultimate controller at the lowest price possible!!
